Patient Transport Text Reminder Service
For many of our patients, not knowing what to expect when travelling to hospital using the patient transport service can lead to frustration and add to the stress many already experience when attending hospital.
We offer a text reminder service to help alleviate these concerns by texting patients the day before they are due to travel to confirm the transport arrangements.
Patients will receive a text or automated message to the primary contact number provided within our booking system (where provided) to remind them of their transport booking. The message will advise patients to call our Control to cancel a booking or to enquire about their transport on the day of travel. Patients will also be directed within the message on how to stop receiving the alerts.
We hope this service will help patients to prepare for journeys, reduce the number of journeys being aborted on the day and encourage patients to contact our Control to cancel or enquire about transport.
